Every treatment starts with a consultation and a blood draw carried out by a doctor. Your plan is built from your history, your goals and the published evidence for PRP, and we will tell you plainly when PRP is not the right treatment for you. That is the standard every appointment is held to.
There is no sales pressure and no one-size-fits-all course. If PRP will not help, you will hear it at the consultation, not after you have paid for three sessions.
How PRP treatment works
1. Consultation and blood draw. A doctor reviews your history and goals and takes a small blood sample.
2. Concentration. Your sample is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, the part of your blood rich in growth factors.
3. Precise injection. The platelet-rich plasma is injected into the areas being treated, whether the scalp, face or a joint.
Each session takes 60 to 90 minutes and you leave straight after. Most hair patients start with a course of three sessions; initial improvements typically appear within 3 to 4 months, with optimal results at 6 to 12 months.

Does PRP work for hair loss?
PRP can improve hair density in pattern hair loss, but results are not guaranteed. A 2024 systematic review by Kieling and colleagues found an average difference of 27.55 hairs per square centimetre compared with placebo. The studies varied widely and the evidence was rated low quality. A doctor-led assessment helps establish whether PRP is a sensible option for your hair loss.

How long does hair PRP take to work?
Hair changes gradually. Agree a review plan with your doctor before treatment and use photographs taken under consistent conditions to assess progress. There is no guaranteed date for visible improvement, and a lack of progress should prompt a review of the diagnosis and plan.
Is PRP proven for knee arthritis?
NICE states that evidence for the effectiveness of PRP injections for knee osteoarthritis is limited in quality. Its guidance calls for special arrangements for clinical governance, consent and audit or research. PRP is not a guaranteed treatment and does not replace a proper assessment of knee pain.
Does PRP hurt?
