How Much Does GFC Hair Treatment Cost in London? (2026 Price Guide)

How much does GFC hair treatment cost in London?

At The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness, GFC (growth factor concentrate) treatment is planned to launch at Β£550 per session, or Β£1,500 for a course of three. GFC is not currently available for booking. Every session will be performed by a GMC-registered doctor after a diagnostic assessment, and we publish the planned price openly so you can see exactly what you would be committing to. This guide is from The Wellness Team at The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness, a doctor-led clinic in Marylebone and Canary Wharf. We publish our prices openly so you can compare like for like before you commit to anything. Want a straight answer on whether GFC is worth considering for your hair loss? What should the price actually include?

Price alone tells you very little. When comparing GFC quotes, it is reasonable to ask whether the price includes:

  • A consultation and proper diagnosis of your hair loss before any treatment is agreed, including trichoscopy or blood tests where indicated. Treating the wrong diagnosis wastes every pound you spend.
  • A medically trained, registered injector. Autologous blood treatments involve a blood draw, sterile processing and precise scalp injections.
  • A genuine, sterile, single-use GFC preparation kit.
  • A structured course plan with a review point. Most published protocols use three sessions about four weeks apart.

Why do GFC prices vary between clinics?

Published prices reflect real differences in what is being sold: who performs the treatment, what preparation system is used, and whether assessment and review are included. Comparing like for like matters more than comparing headline numbers.

How does GFC pricing compare with PRP?

As of October 2026:

  • GFC (planned launch pricing; not yet available for booking): Β£550 per session, or Β£1,500 for a course of three.
  • PRP (available now): Β£450 per session, or Β£1,215 for a course of three. Both are legitimate options with different strengths, and the right choice depends on your diagnosis and preferences rather than the Β£100 difference. We have written a full GFC vs PRP vs PRF comparison if you want the detail.

Is GFC worth the money?

The honest answer: for the right patient, it may be a reasonable investment; for the wrong patient, no treatment at any price is worth it. The evidence so far is encouraging but early. In a 2026 randomised trial of 44 adults (Choubey and colleagues, Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery), both GFC and PRP groups improved, the difference between them was not statistically significant, and GFC caused significantly less pain - in patients also using minoxidil. A 2026 meta-analysis in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (12 studies, 745 patients) found growth factor injections improved hair density, thickness and satisfaction, while rating the underlying evidence at high risk of bias. Published GFC studies have involved mainly people with early to moderate pattern hair loss. GFC cannot restore hair in areas where follicles are gone. Every treatment here starts with a consultation and diagnostic assessment. If GFC is unlikely to help you, we will say so.
