PRP Near Harley Street. What Harley Street Prices Should Buy You
Harley Street is shorthand for private medicine in London, and PRP there commonly costs £600 to £850 or more per session for hair and from around £780 to £900 or more per image-guided joint injection. The address itself does not make a treatment better. What those prices should buy is a doctor, a diagnosis, image guidance where relevant, and honest follow-up. Our clinic at 10 Portman Square is a short walk from Harley Street and is built around exactly those things.
Key points
Harley Street and Mayfair clinics commonly charge £600 to £850 or more per hair PRP session, and London practices generally charge 50 to 70 percent more than the rest of the UK.
Image-guided joint and tendon PRP at specialist central London clinics runs from around £780 to £900 or more per injection, with courses often past £2,000.
A Harley Street address tells you where a clinic rents rooms. It does not tell you who performs the treatment, whether you will be diagnosed first, or how the plasma is prepared.
The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness is at 10 Portman Square, W1H 6AZ, within walking distance of Harley Street, with every treatment performed by GMC-registered doctors.

What the Harley Street name means, and what it does not
Harley Street and the streets around it have been the centre of private medicine in London for well over a century, and many excellent clinicians practise there. The name carries weight for good reason.
It is also an address rather than a standard. Clinics on and around Harley Street range from consultant-led specialist practices to rooms rented by the hour, and the postcode says nothing about which you are walking into. For PRP in particular, where results depend heavily on diagnosis and technique, the questions that matter are about the clinician and the method rather than the street.
What those prices should include
Free and worth using as a checklist on any clinic, including ours.
A consultation with a GMC-registered doctor before any decision to treat, not a booking made online and a practitioner you meet on the day.
A diagnosis. For hair, that means examination, dermoscopy and blood tests, because low ferritin, thyroid dysfunction and other contributors blunt any treatment until corrected. For joints, it means examination and imaging, because the pain is not always what the referral says.
A preparation method the clinic will describe. PRP is not standardised, and kit, spin protocol and platelet concentration differ between clinics.
Image guidance for joint and tendon injections, so the needle reaches the target under direct vision.
A written plan with a realistic timeline, and follow-up to review whether it worked.
A willingness to tell you when PRP is not the right answer.
If a Harley Street price does not include those, the extra you pay is for the address.

Five questions to ask any clinic before booking
The questions
Who will perform my treatment, and are they GMC-registered?
Will my condition be diagnosed first, and are blood tests or imaging arranged and interpreted here?
How is the plasma prepared?
How many sessions, over what timeline, and what happens if I do not respond?
Will you tell me if PRP is not right for me?
A clinic confident in its care will answer all five directly. The last one tells you the most.
What the evidence supports
For hair, a 2025 meta-analysis in Dermatology and Therapy pooling 43 randomised controlled trials and 1,877 participants found PRP increases hair density in pattern hair loss.
For tennis elbow, a 2025 Level I meta-analysis of 26 randomised trials found PRP clinically better than corticosteroid beyond 6 months. For frozen shoulder, a 2026 meta-analysis of 13 randomised trials covering 1,056 patients found significant advantages over corticosteroid from around 3 months.
For knee osteoarthritis the evidence is contested. Pooled data favour PRP over hyaluronic acid, while a 2021 randomised trial in JAMA found no benefit over placebo. A clinic that presents every indication as equally proven is not giving you information you can use, whatever its address.
Where we are
Portman Square, Marylebone
The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness is at 10 Portman Square, London W1H 6AZ. That is a short walk from Harley Street and a few minutes from Marble Arch and Bond Street stations.
Belgravia
Our second clinic is at the Light Centre, 9 Eccleston Street, London SW1W 9LX, close to Victoria.
We are in the same part of London and the same tradition of private medicine. We are not on Harley Street, and we say so plainly rather than borrowing the name.
What treatment costs
At the flagship end of the Harley Street and Mayfair market, hair PRP commonly costs £600 to £850 or more per session, and image-guided joint injections from around £780 to £900 or more. Our care is doctor-led and priced below those flagship rates, with the figure for your plan confirmed after your free suitability review.
PRP is not funded by the NHS for hair loss and not routinely commissioned for joint conditions, and private insurance rarely covers it, so treatment is self-pay.

The suitability review
Every enquiry begins with a free doctor-led suitability review rather than a booking. A GMC-registered doctor assesses you, arranges any testing or imaging needed, and gives one of two answers. Approved for treatment with a clear plan, or not approved, with an honest explanation of what would serve you better.
We decline a meaningful share of enquiries, which is a large part of why our reported outcomes hold.
Why people choose The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness
Every treatment is performed by GMC-registered doctors, and no clinician treats a patient here until they have completed 100 supervised treatments. We are blood-test-first for hair and image-guided for joints, and we train other clinicians in these techniques through our Academy.
Across our work we report an 87 percent patient success rate, a 32 percent average density increase in hair restoration and more than 187 five-star reviews.
